My Grief Journey
Jimmy Spurling is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, has a Doctorate of Ministry degree in Christian counseling and is a facilitator of QPR. He is currently the Catoosa County Coroner. Preceding this, he worked as a first responder for nearly 40 years.

This is to say that he has been face to face with trauma and grief and their aftereffects for almost the entirety of his adult life.
​
Jimmy is a diligent and caring member of the community and passionate about helping people through intensely traumatic times.
​
He teaches a grief class called My Grief Journey, which focuses on helping those who have experienced a loss to either take the first steps toward healing or continue their healing process in whatever stage they may be in.
